Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and optimization of electric machines (motors and generators), considering electromagnetic, mechanical, and thermal aspects.
Perform detailed analysis using simulation tools such as ANSYS MotorCAD, ANSYS Maxwell, and some understanding of FEA-based mechanical/CFD tools.
Generate analytical models and calculations to verify sizing, performance, losses, efficiency, and NVH characteristics.
Support proposal writing as part of technical work package management from concept to production, ensuring compliance with functional, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Interpret customer specifications and translate them into robust machine topologies and design concepts.
Lead or contribute significantly to DFMEA activities and ensure design robustness and risk mitigation.
Support manufacturing teams on the shop floor to support winding, lamination inspection, assembly processes, and prototype builds as needed.
