The Opportunity?

We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing advanced sheet metal server cabinet solutions for hyperscale data centres.

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design process from concept and development through to production ensuring every solution meets stringent customer specifications and industry standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll help shape products that support some of the world’s most demanding technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

Leading the full lifecycle design and development of precision sheet metal products and assemblies. Translating complex customer requirements into accurate CAD models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation. Collaborating with internal teams across project management, production, and supply chain to ensure manufacturability, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. Supporting prototype builds and performance validation, ensuring products meet structural and functional expectations. Driving continuous improvement across design processes, tools, and standards. Leading or participating in design reviews with both customers and internal stakeholders. Ensuring accurate integration of design data into ERP systems such as SAP.

Qualifications & Experience
We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. To succeed, you’ll bring:

BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). 10+ years’ experience in mechanical design, ideally within sheet metal manufacturing. Experience working directly with customers and leading design reviews. Background in design office environments supporting high‑volume production. Strong understanding of sheet metal design and manufacturing processes. Experience with 3D CAD software, Creo or Inventor preferred, though other platforms will be considered. Knowledge of design tools such as DFMEA and tolerance analysis. Understanding of electrical or cooling system design (advantageous). Familiarity with structural performance and design for manufacture (DFM) and assembly (DFA). FEA experience is beneficial but not essential. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication abilities, including customer-facing discussions. Ability to lead projects and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams. A proactive, improvement-driven approach to engineering challenges.

This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday, 39 hours per week.
