Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Produce and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts using AutoCAD ElectricalDesign and document 24V DC power distribution and communication systems including serial, fibre, coax, and networking componentsSupport the integration of electrical and electronic subsystems on a marine platformCollaborate with engineering teams and project stakeholders to manage design changes and resolve technical ambiguitiesEnsure all designs align with relevant marine standards and regulatory complianceParticipate in design reviews and incorporate feedback efficiently

Qualifications

HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Completion of formal AutoCAD Electrical training preferred

Essential skills

AutoCad ElectricalMarine ExperienceProficiency with AutoCAD ElectricalStrong understanding of 24V DC systemsExperience with communications infrastructure (serial, fibre, coax, Ethernet)Ability to interpret incomplete design data and resolve ambiguities independentlyHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and documentation skillsComfortable working in a fast-changing project environment

Experience

Experience with systems integration in marine or defense / naval projectsFamiliarity with classification society rules and maritime electrical standards
