Key Responsibilities:

Design:

Producing detailed hardware and software designs for automation/control systems Attendance at clients sites for customer support Interface with clients representatives to develop and agree designs Ensuring full compliance with the Company’s QA standards in all relevant reporting, documentation, record-keeping and procedures

Commercial & Business Support:

Liaising with/manage vendors and suppliersPreparation of project planning and design documentationProject engineering/management; including project commercial aspects and project cost controlTaking the lead role on projects to ensure software/hardware being developed by other engineers is correct functionally conforms to company /customer standards and legislationEnsuring that project specific task targets are met with respect to both timeliness and costUpdating/reviewing Cost to Complete DocumentationAssisting with the development of junior/less experienced engineers with regards to documentation, designs, software, standards and proceduresContributing to, and maintaining, the Company’s Engineering Standards and procedures Taking an active role in the support of sales activities with the preparation of technical proposals and direct client contact as appropriate

Person Specification:

Proven track record and experience of complex control and safety systemsPC literate with experience of Word, Excel and databases Experience of developing industrial grade software and hardware solutions using a variety of control systems ie PLC and SCADA Experience in Industrial Networking an advantage Ability to travel to clients sites as necessaryYou are expected to conduct yourself in a professional manner compatible with the goals and aims of the company position Excellent interpersonal communication skills both with external and internal customers Be able to plan and organise efficiently and effectively Have a strong delivery performance Problem assessment and problem solvingInformation gathering and information monitoring

Salary & Benefits:
