Electrical Detail Design Engineer

Responsibilities

Creation of CAD Models and Drawings: Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to meet required standards.Design Deliverables: Ensuring all design deliverables are completed accurately and on time.Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders during appropriate design phases to ensure coordination and functionality of design.Project Support: Contributing to and supporting the entire project and product design cycle, from concept to construction and installation.Technical Support: Providing technical support during the construction and installation phases.Perform self-verification of work.Reporting of technical progress and issues to line management.Be aware of and ensure that safety, health and environmental requirements are implementedAssist with the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of outputs.Change embodiment.

Qualifications

The candidate is required to hold an NC/HNC or an equivalent qualification / experience in relatable discipline subjectApprenticeship in relevant discipline or relevant industry experience

Essential skills

Be proficient in the use of one or more parametric/spec driven CAD system both in a 3D & 2D environmentAble to work to Engineering Design Standards

Desired skills

Preferable T26 ExperienceFORAN.WindchillFamiliarity with shipbuilding/ship repair terminology and practices

Experience

Experience in Design processes and procedures specifically within detail designWorking on Naval or Commercial Marine projects (preferably naval shipbuilding projects/alternatively new build or major conversion packages)Experience in Electrical Design, Cable Routing Relevant experience from other industries including, but not limited to, Oil & Gas, Process, Manufacturing, Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Civil and Automotive
