Proeon Systems Ltd, part of the RSK Group, is a specialist systems integrator supplying control and safety solutions for complex and critical applications in a variety of industry sectors that principally include the oil & gas, renewable, hydrogen, nuclear and utility industries. We are now hiring for a Senior Design Engineer to join the Proeon Team Full-Time, working from our new office premises in Norwich, Norfolk, UK

Key Responsibilities:
Design:
- Producing detailed hardware and software designs for automation/control systems
- Attendance at clients sites for customer support
- Interface with clients representatives to develop and agree designs
- Ensuring full compliance with the Company’s QA standards in all relevant reporting, documentation, record-keeping and procedures
Commercial & Business Support:
- Liaising with/manage vendors and suppliers
- Preparation of project planning and design documentation
- Project engineering/management; including project commercial aspects and project cost control
- Taking the lead role on projects to ensure software/hardware being developed by other engineers is correct functionally conforms to company /customer standards and legislation
- Ensuring that project specific task targets are met with respect to both timeliness and cost
- Updating/reviewing Cost to Complete Documentation
- Assisting with the development of junior/less experienced engineers with regards to documentation, designs, software, standards and procedures
- Contributing to, and maintaining, the Company’s Engineering Standards and procedures
- Taking an active role in the support of sales activities with the preparation of technical proposals and direct client contact as appropriate
Person Specification:
- Proven track record and experience of complex control and safety systems
- PC literate with experience of Word, Excel and databases
- Experience of developing industrial grade software and hardware solutions using a variety of control systems ie PLC and SCADA
- Experience in Industrial Networking an advantage
- Ability to travel to clients sites as necessary
- You are expected to conduct yourself in a professional manner compatible with the goals and aims of the company position
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills both with external and internal customers
- Be able to plan and organise efficiently and effectively
- Have a strong delivery performance
- Problem assessment and problem solving
- Information gathering and information monitoring
Salary & Benefits:
- £50,000 - £70,000 Depending on Experience
