An exciting job role has recently become available at the . They are looking for a new member for their Duty and Assessment Team. 

Details on role:

As a Duty and Assessment Social Worker for Walsall Council, you will be responsible for undertaking assessments and providing immediate support and intervention for children and families in need. You will work within the Duty and Assessment team to respond to new referrals, ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of children at risk. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families referred to the service. Respond to new referrals and undertake initial assessments and visits. Develop and implement plans to support children and families, ensuring a child-focused approach. Work closely with multi-agency partners to provide effective safeguarding and intervention services. Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements. Present cases in Child Protection Conferences and court proceedings as needed. Essential Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working in Duty and Assessment or Children’s Services teams. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004. Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Skills: Ability to work under pressure and manage a complex caseload. Previous experience working within a local authority setting. Strong organisational and time management skills

Social Work England registration Eligible to work in the UK Hold a full UK licence Post-qualified experience Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
