Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant - Fantastic Primary School – Hammersmith

An Outstanding primary school based in Hammersmith; West London is on the hunt for an Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism (ASD).

You will be tasked with supporting a wide variety of needs including Autism (ASD), PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), Speech and Language (SP&L), and more! The students’ needs vary in severity some will be verbal, some non-verbal. If you have any experience with children aged 4-11 with SEN (ASD, PMLD, SLD etc) we would love to hear from you! This does not have to be direct school experience; any transferrable skills will be considered.

The Role - Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant:

Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant Support students with SEN on a day-to-day basis (ASD, PMLD, SLD, SP&L, and more) Liaising with Class Teachers and the SENDCO regarding progress of children Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children Delivering specialist interventions Liaising with the school’s therapists September Start – Long Term & Full Time £90 - £100 per day Located in the Borough of Hammersmith

The Ideal Candidate - Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant:

Autism Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant Experience in supporting children (4-18) with SEN – Autism, PMLD, SLD, SP&L – Ideal Childcare related experience, ideally with an SEN focus - Ideal You MUST be resilient, patient, calm-natured, empathetic & adaptable  A hardworking and drivenindividual who will exceed all expectations of the role requirements
