Senior Design Engineer Responsibilities The role of the Senior Design Engineer is wide ranging and will involve detail product design using the latest state of the art technology and components including full testing and evaluation. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following: Identify lighting product needs for the business and the design and development of new lighting luminaires from concept through to product validation and completion. Knowledge of current standards and approvals Managing the production of CAD drawings, bill of materials and technical specifications for completed lighting designs Creating specification and data sheets for the company’s products Value engineering of existing products.
